Whakarongo School Book Quiz Club - Wednesdays
Lit Quiz Club
Come along for some fun quizzes and team work -
Each year, Whakarongo School enters 2 teams into the Manawatu Lit (Literacy) Quiz Competition. Ask anyone who has been about the fun of the day and event - and amazing set up of the competition.
You DO NOT have to read a wide range of books to come along to the club (currently held on Wednesday lunchtimes in Homeroom 7) but it does help if you have a book genre or series passion area and are open to exploring more.
Open to year 5-8 students - any questions or queries then come along and see Pou Gwen in Toa Pod.

Welcome to you all from the Whakarongo School Library Team for 2023
The Library at Whakarongo School is fully stocked and ready for a great year ahead.
Some information and changes ...
- Your Staff Library Team for this year consist of Ayako Munford as Librarian, supported by teachers: Kelly Jamieson, Gwen Thompson, Jo Patrick and Jo McKinnon.
- The Student Library Co-ordinators are Emily Li, Breanna Robinson and Sophie Thirkell.
- And not to forget our wonderful Year 5-8 students that take on the popular roles of Pod and Lunchtime Librarians.
- Our library is fully stocked and in full use within pods and at lunchtime too.
- We are no longer subscribing to ePlatform - and feel fortunate enough to have a fully stocked library with books catering to different reading ages, abilities and interests. If you know of a book you would love to see on our shelves, pleases let us know in person, or by emailing library@whakarongo.school.nz
- Book and Lit Quiz Session are fun and engaging - and are held each Wednesday lunchtime in Toa pod/Homeroom 7. Please see Pou Gwen if you have any queries.
