Welcome to you all from the Whakarongo School Library Team for 2023

 

The Library at Whakarongo School is fully stocked and ready for a great year ahead. 

Some information and changes ...

• Your Staff Library Team for this year consist of Ayako Munford as Librarian, supported by teachers: Kelly Jamieson, Gwen Thompson, Jo Patrick and Jo McKinnon.   
  
• The Student Library Co-ordinators are Emily Li, Breanna Robinson and Sophie Thirkell.
• And not to forget our wonderful Year 5-8 students that take on the popular roles of Pod and Lunchtime Librarians.   

• Our library is fully stocked and in full use within pods and at lunchtime too. 
• We are no longer subscribing to ePlatform - and feel fortunate enough to have a fully stocked library with books catering to different reading ages, abilities and interests.   If you know of a book you would love to see on our shelves, pleases let us know in person, or by emailing library@whakarongo.school.nz 
• Book and Lit Quiz Session are fun and engaging - and are held each Wednesday lunchtime in Toa pod/Homeroom 7.   Please see Pou Gwen if you have any queries.
